Sabbatical Journeys – Part 1

by | Jun 20, 2022 | Severn Musings

Greetings from England!

After a very delayed flight, we arrived in England!  The kids were wonderful travelers despite the very late night.    We picked up our rental car, and Victor got another crash course in driving on the other side of the road. We are staying in a cottage in the village of Liddington, near Swindon in South West England.  We all went for a walk to try and stay awake to combat jet lag and found a lovely playground right next to the local church – All Saints, Liddington.

The next day we attended Eucharist at St. Mary’s (Church of England) in Bishopstone, and then came home, where we continued to fight off the affects of jet lag.

On June 20th, we went for a lovely drive and took several hikes through the Cotswolds.  We drove through the village of Burford on our way to Northleach, where we visited the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul.  Afterwards we hiked from the village of Lower Slaughter to Upper Slaughter.  Tomorrow we are off to fulfill all the dreams of our three year old at Peppa Pig World.  Please pray for us!
