Sanctuary Candle

The Sanctuary candle indicates the presence of the reserved sacrament in the tabernacle. The Sanctuary candle is the one candle that remains burning continually.

One way of honoring a loved one is to dedicate the Sanctuary candle in their name for the week. Your dedication can be for any reason. It can be in memory of a loved one, it can be in celebration of good grades for your children, your anniversary or just your love for Our Lord. Your dedication will be noted in the Sunday bulletin.

The requested donation for sponsoring an altar candle is $5. Please make out any checks for candles to “St. Stephen’s” and put Sanctuary Candle in the memo line.
